What is GRÉLIA ?
The Groupe de Recherche et d’Étude en Langues et Intelligence Artificielle (GRÉLIA) is an interdisciplinary scientific research team affiliated with the Faculty of Communication at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Established with an innovative perspective, GRÉLIA seeks to explore, understand, and analyze the complex interactions between natural language processing and contemporary communication challenges.

GRÉLIA brings together researchers specialized in linguistics, artificial intelligence, communication, and digital humanities. Through its research projects, scientific publications, and academic events, the group actively contributes to advancing knowledge at the intersection of languages and artificial intelligence.

Mission
Our primary mission is to investigate the opportunities and challenges associated with artificial intelligence applied to natural languages, particularly in teaching and learning, translation and interpretation, discourse and speech analysis, automated language comprehension, and the ethics of artificial intelligence.
